I just returned from an incredible family getaway where we stayed at a beautiful resort. The accommodations were top-notch, with stunning views and meticulous attention to detail. The staff genuinely made us feel special throughout our visit, creating a warm atmosphere. However, while the main restaurant had some challenges, the overall experience was fantastic and we can't wait to return.
High Bullen Hotel Golf & Country Club is a hidden gem in the Devon countryside, offering stunning views, spacious accommodations, and an incredible spa experience. The staff were attentive and genuinely friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. While the dining options were overall fantastic, we did experience some delays in service during peak times. The hotel’s remote location adds to its relaxing charm but might be a bit far for those wanting quick access to local attractions.
The lodge is situated in a lovely setting with beautiful amenities like indoor and outdoor swimming pools. However, the dog-friendly policy may not be ideal for those without pets, as some rooms had a noticeable dog smell and hair, which detracted from our overall experience. The variety of activities available was a definite plus, making our stay enjoyable despite some drawbacks about cleanliness and odors.
Highbullen Hotel Golf & Country Club is a fantastic getaway nestled in the beautiful Devon countryside, boasting stunning views and a variety of amenities. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere. The staff offered excellent service, making our stay incredibly enjoyable. However, the coffee quality during breakfast was disappointing and could use improvement. The dining experience was good, but the afternoon tea experience was slightly impacted by the presence of spa guests in robes. Overall, it’s a perfect place for a relaxing retreat.

Overall, it's a wonderful retreat with friendly staff and plenty of activities.
